Elton T. Lafky
Attorney
(Of Counsel)
Elton "Bud" Lafky is a life-long Salem resident. Bud graduated
from Salem High School, and Willamette University, graduating from
Willamette Law School in 1955. After graduation from law school,
Bud served his country through active duty in the United States Air
Force. After his active duty ended, he remained active in the Air
Force Reserve for a number of years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel.
After returning from the Air Force, Bud worked as an attorney for the
Veterans' Department and the Marion County District Attorney's office,
and then started the private practice of law in 1965.
In 40 years of practice, Bud has successfully represented thousands of
clients in virtually all types of cases. Today, Bud represents
clients in the areas of criminal defense, domestic relations, personal
injury and business advice and planning.
Kevin T. Lafky
Attorney
Kevin T. Lafky was born and raised in
Salem, attending Salem public schools and graduating from Sprague High
School in 1977. After graduation, Kevin attended the University of
California at Berkeley for a year and a half, then transferred to the
University of Oregon, graduating in 1981 with degrees in both Economics
and History.
Kevin attended law school in Seattle, graduating from the University of
Washington in 1985. During one semester, Kevin worked as an intern in a
full-time position for federal Judge Otto Skopil. After passing the
Oregon Bar in 1985, Kevin traveled for a year overseas, returning in
1986 to a two year job as judicial law clerk for the Oregon Court of
Appeals, Judge John Buttler and Judge William Riggs. After finishing his
clerkship, Kevin began working with his father in 1988.
Kevin is active in a variety of community organizations, including the
Salem Downtown Association, and has served on several City committees
dedicated to the improvement of Salem's downtown. Kevin served on the
Oregon State Bar Board of Governors in 1995-1998.
Kevin appreciates the opportunity that he has had to represent all types
of individuals and businesses in a variety of cases and matters since
1988. During that time, Kevin has represented clients in many different
types of civil and criminal cases. When asked about his work, Kevin
says: "I have deeply appreciated the opportunity to successfully
represent thousands of clients over the last two decades. I am grateful
for the chance to help people when they face difficult issues."
Kevin, in addition to being licensed in
Oregon State Courts, is licensed to practice in the Federal Courts,
including the District of Oregon, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the
United States Supreme Court.

Larry L. Linder
Attorney
Larry L. Linder was born in Oregon City
and resided in Molalla. He spent portions of his childhood in Ohio and
Alaska, but returned to Oregon and graduated from Molalla Union High
School in 1991. After graduation, Larry attended Clackamas Community
College where he received his Associate of Arts Degree. Larry attended
Western Oregon University where he received a degree in Political
Science. He then attended law school at Willamette University.
Larry's practice encompasses a broad spectrum of law, but his focus is
on employment law. His representation extends to all facets of
employment law representing both employees and employers. Larry has
represented clients in employment discrimination claims, wrongful
discharge claims, wage claims, emotional distress claims, civil rights
claims, battery claims, and appeals in both state and federal court. He
has also represented clients in agency investigations, administrative
hearings, internal investigations, and preventive business planning. Larry enjoys spending time with his family, church activities, and
participating in sports during his free time.
Larry is a member of the Oregon State Bar
and also the United States District Court for the District of Oregon.

Haley Percell
Attorney
Haley Percell was born in Portland,
Oregon and raised in Aurora, Oregon where she attended Wilsonville and
Canby public schools until attending high school at St. Mary's Academy
in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from high school in 1998, Haley
attended the University of Portland, receiving a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Biology and completing a Spanish Certificate program. While
attending college, Haley participated in a study abroad program in
Morelia, Mexico where she took classes about Mexican history and
culture. During college, Haley enjoyed volunteering at the Oregon Humane
Society and volunteering as a Homework Tutor and Girl Scout Troop Leader
in Northeast Portland.
Haley received her law degree from Willamette University. While
attending law school, Haley worked as a law clerk for the Oregon School
Boards Association for a short time and then worked as a law clerk for
Lafky & Lafky for nearly two years before being hired as an associate
attorney. Haley also volunteered as a writer for Willamette Law Online,
a Willamette Law School publication. After writing for Willamette Law
Online for a year, Haley was hired for an additional year as Editor
of the Intellectual Property Section. Haley enjoys helping people and
looks forward to new challenges.
Haley is a member of the Oregon State Bar
and also the United States District Court for the District of Oregon.

Connie LaFarge
Paralegal
Connie LaFarge was born and raised in
Heppner, Oregon, graduating from Heppner High School in 1979. After high
school, she attended business college, focusing her studies on the legal
secretarial program. She then began her career in the legal profession
in Pendleton in 1981. Over the next several years, she worked for
various law offices in eastern Oregon, each one providing her with an
education in different aspects of the law, including criminal law,
family law, social security and workers' compensation matters.
Connie moved to Salem in 1994, working as a legal assistant and
paralegal in several firms before parking at Lafky & Lafky in May, 2000. She is active in the Chamber Business Women, and the proud mom of a
beautiful daughter. She takes great pride in her work and the work of
the firm. She sees every day as an adventure and is compassionate about
the clients that she feels fortunate to work with. Although she hopes to
continue with her undergraduate studies, she also sees each day as an
opportunity to learn.
